In this 4-week course, the author analyzes comics and graphic novels and their relationship with politics, making use of a perspective of moral and political philosophy. It begins with the comparison between graphic novels and comics, as well as the reason why we should read them, then it moves to an overview of the industry and business, and ends with further analysis of particular comic books and the political perspective behind them.

  • Live sessions: (through Webex) Wednesdays, February 28, March 7 and 14, and Thursday, March 15 from 5:30 p. m. to 6:30 p. m. GMT -6.
